New class @ Fitzgibbon

Yep, I’m adding another weekly line dancing class to the schedule! This one’s kicking off at Fitzgibbon Community Centre on Thursday nights, thanks to the centre wanting to get some bootscooting lessons happening. My hand shot up IMMEDIATELY.

WHEN: Thursdays, 5:30pm-7pm, beginning Thursday 10th July

WHERE: Fitzgibbon Community Centre: 545 Roghan Road, Fitzgibbon, QLD 4018

COST: $15pp, cash at the door. No booking/RSVP required, just turn up! Come along every week, or every now and then, or anywhere in between.

Classes will be beginner level (an improver class will be added down the track), so if you have two left feet, that’s no excuse! Come along for some exercise, laughs, new friends... and to expand your line dancing repertoire beyond just the Nutbush.

April updates

There are a lot of exciting things happening! Here's the goss:

• Northgate classes in April: Class is on on 7th and 14th April, then there will be a three-week break thanks to Easter, Labour Day, and me heading to an outback SA gymkhana in between, just for good measure. Class will then return on Monday 12th May, with a twist...

  
  

• The twist... Improver level: From 12th May onwards, the format of Monday Northgate classes will look a little different.

  6:30 - 7:40pm: Beginner level

  7:45 - 8:45pm: Improver level (a little trickier than beginner level in terms of timing, and number of turns/spins in the choreography).

  You are welcome to come to one session, or the other, or stay for the whole time. Cost is $15 regardless of how long you’re there for. Anyone is welcome to give the Improver class a go. I will NEVER kick anyone off the dance floor.

  
  

• Johnny Ringo's classes canned: Johnny Ringo’s has decided to go in a different direction away from line dancing, which is fine, but means classes there on Wednesday and Thursday evenings won’t be continuing.

• New classes on the horizon: Shortly I’ll be setting up another regular weekly class somewhere around the North Lakes/ Narangba/Morayfield area. Details coming soon. FYI, that’s code for the details are not yet sorted. Stay tuned.

• Morayfield Bootscootin' Bash: All aboard for the Bootscootin’ Bash on Friday 9th May, at the Morayfield Sport and Events Centre. I’ll be leading the bootscooting on the night and it’s going to be a blast! Grab your tickets here.

• SA visit: I’m heading to SA at the end of this month, and will be running another one-off Adelaide class on Thursday 1st May, 6:30-8pm. Unley Community Centre, $15pp, no need to book, all welcome. Just like old times.

Temporary venue change

Our Monday night Northgate class has a temporary new home!

Thanks to Alfred causing water damage at Northgate Hall, class will be held at Hamilton Town Hall for two weeks (17th March and 24th March).
